Curt Källman was born February 1 1938 in Stockholm, and left
the earth life the 18 December 2010.
Vedic Art was his passion through the rest of his life.
He was a pioneer who early discovered the healing effect of meditation
even in his artistic work. By TM (Transcendental Meditation) and
through his contact with TM founder Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who also
collaborated with The Beatles at the end of the 1960ies, Curt created a
whole new way to teach painting. Vedic Art was an art education to be
held in 2000 years...
Curt's legacy is brought forward through one of his sons Johannes
Källman and also hundreds of Vedic Art teacher in Scandinavia
and around the world where the desire to paint with "brushes in the sky
and feet on the ground", increases.
Biography
Curt Källman started Vedic Art School in February 1988 at
Bosjökloster Castle in Hoor, Scania,Sweden.
He began his artistic career by studying at Gerlesborgsskolan
1963 and then at the Academy in Stockholm 1964 - 69.
Exhibitions in Sweden, including Stockholm, Gothenburg, Kungalv, Malmo
and Lund.
Abroad in Oslo, London, Geneva, Affschaffenburg, Fairfield, Chicago,
New York and Los Angeles.
Curt Källman is also represented in the King and Queen's
collections, Nationalmuseeums subscription collection (now the Museum
of Modern Art), Swedish embassies abroad, private collections in
Sweden, Germany and the United States.
